HAPPY TUMMY. Susan suggested that I make old-fashioned mac and cheese for dinner. This suited me fine, as I have no boxed stuff and I love cooking things from scratch.

It's the worcester sauce that makes it so good. I overdid it just a little, but that didn't stop it from being DELICIOUS.

From the Purity cookbook, published 1960s. (It's been reprinted, but I have my grampa's well-used original :3)

  1. Melt 2 tablespoons butter
  2. Add 2 tablespoons flour or cornstarch, salt and pepper to taste and stir until smooth.
  3. Add 1 cup of milk; cook over low heat until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat, add 1 teaspoon worcester sauce and 1/2 cup of shredded cheese; stir until cheese is melted and smooth.
