Also, convince me not to take one of the dolls with me. That was the first thing I told myself, not to take one. Then I thought maybe... then NO. Today I wanted to take Bastet (who is a tiny, and fits handily in the front pocket of a hoodie XD), and concluded that no, I'd rather take one of my own. Ralli is a mini, he'd do... But now I'd prefer to take Saki, he's my oldest and my favourite and I would love to get some pictures of him in one of the parks.

Dear self: DUDE. You're going to spend maybe 4 hours in the parks, and you are NOT going to want to lug him around all day.

Self/Saki: but but but... ;___;

*sigh* time to see what exactly I can pack into which suitcases...

That strikes me as a grade-A bad idea, honestly... they are so expensive and fragile... and even if I don't understand the allure of the damned things, I'd still hate to find out that customs searched your bag and broke one of their heads off.

Oh god, customs regularly had a heyday with mine any time I hopped the border down to the states. One even got swabbed for drugs. :S

That being said: From doing a Japan trip with and without a dorrie, If you're going to meet anyone with dolls (ie Inertia XD) it's worth taking him. If not, don't. You don't want to have to lug around any more luggage than needful ;)

drugs D:

It seems as though I won't be meeting anyone I know with dorries, so they are definitely staying home XD

They're not as fragile as one might think (oh how many times have they taken headers to the floor...) but you are right. Too pricey! Staying home, they are XD
