Wednesday rambles
Long weekend coming up :) Though it kinda sucks for numerous reasons, as follows:
1. Too poor to go to Calgary
2. Too poor to do anything, really, especially since we just bought concert tickets (literally 12 hours ago)
3. Which means I have to think extra hard about going to the Harry Potter exhibit this weekend but will need to go at some point in the next month anyway.
4. Can't put my boxes away since the follow-up spray is on the Tuesday AFTER the long weekend. Grrr.
I'm trying not to think about it, but this weekend is riiight around the time when my depression kicks in the hardest. I don't want to let it, yet every year before it sneaks in. It always manifests as "no one wants to hang out with me as much as I want to hang out with them boo hoo poor me" and even though I KNOW that's not the case, I'm sure most you know how jerkbrains like to feed that nonsense to you. Right now I feel pretty good, I've been taking Vitamin D nearly every day, I'm sleeping decently well (for me), I like my current job a lot and I'm not feeling, overall, as stressed out as I think I have in the past.
But since I have very few plans for the weekend and three days in which to accomplish them, I will spend Saturday doing social things if its available to me, or errands (I really need to evaluate the grocery situation), Sunday sewing*, and Monday sewing for a bit, cleaning up (dishes and the like), and then chilling with either anime-watching, reading, writing, or playing video games. All of it accompanied, of course, with Slurpees. If I ever am able to do so, I will have a slurpee machine installed in my house, I drink them like they're going out of style.
*I really want to get these curtains made up into an anglaise, and there's a chance my linen will be in by Friday, so I can get started on that as well :3 But first I intend to make something for the pink challenge, which is due on Saturday! I plan on starting that tomorrow evening.
I got to see my kitty tonight :3 He ignored me pretty hard when I first arrived, consenting to be picked up but not staying long, sitting with his back to me, etc. About half an hour before I left I convinced him to sit in my lap, where he purred hard and gave me a pretty disdainful look, then climbed up to perch on my shoulder like he had when I picked him up. He's most likely mad at me again though hehe. I can't wait to get this all back in order and bring him back here. I miss him a lot.
