GAIZ I HAS ANOTHER IMPORTANT QUESTION:

Would I have enough information to host a make-your-own-lolita-outfit panel during Animethon? I could cover things like making bloomers from boxer shorts, basic shapes for skirts, altering available patterns... etc

Why not? Go for it! My suggestion, visuals. The more the better. Throw up lots of photos to show what you are talking about, and you will be fine.

This is after sitting through some very boring panels at AX 2007...ZZZ

May I pick your brain for specifics? :3 I have about a week to make up my mind. I had a half-formed idea to use patterns commercially available and show how they could be modified, but I don't know if that'll work well, or if I'll have time...

That sounds like a great idea! With the cost of clothing from Japan so high, I know interested people would love to see how to create their own outfits.

I know that visuals and hands on if possible work really well to keep people interested in any subject. Maybe a power point presentation with patterns and photos of outfit pieces, or even doing a demonstration?

I think it would be fun to see how to take an ordinary outfit and turn it into something really creative. I don't think most people know what can work to make a lolita outfit and would really like this information. Usually what is shown is the end product but no idea how to get there.

I think you have a good start for something that could be really interesting!
