I got a bunny today >.> I wasn't planning to. See, Sheree had gotten a bunny at the end of march, and earlier this month, just as she was really getting into the swing of caring for it, it died. Just like that. No warning. So she bought another one, an adorable black dwarf bunny :3 We kept it in the warehouse for a few hours, and she took it home. One of the girls we work with came and saw it and loved it so much that she bought a bunny. And I was totally crushing on adorable, soft little bunnies, but i said NO WAY because I don't have the space, time, money or KNOWLEDGE on how to care for bunnies.

So today, we went to Petcetera so I could buy cat food before running a work-related errand. They had the most adorable fuzzy black lop, and 3 more dwarves, 2 of which were the CUTEST grey and white bunnies evar. Sheree started considering getting her bunny a friend, while I was like "NUUUUUUU" and ran away to get my cat food. I come back with it, and Sheree is holding a fuzzy light grey bunny. SHe says, "you want a bunny. You know you do" or something like that. The bunny she has belongs to a woman who saw Sheree looking at the ones for sale, and asked if she was considering buying one, and would she instead like one of the two she had to give up? Her father in law had said NO BUNNIES and she had to give her two up.

So I pick up the black one, and the FREE price tag was mighty tempting... Did I want a bunny? yes. Could I feasibly take care of one? um I have no idea how O_O But it proved too much to resist. She would have rathered see them go to people rather than a pet store, where they might sit indefinitely.

So far, the bunny has cost me $20 :D I already have a fish tank with a metal grated lid for reptiles to keep it in. $6 for the GINORMOUS bag of bedding, $8 for food, $4 for a pumice block to hopefully help its weird teeth. I hope I don't have to take (her) into the vet any time soon, Im totally broke until next month O_O

Bunnies are so easy to take care of. Especially if it likes lettuce, carrots, aflalfa sprouts, and bread. Just treat it kinda like a cat, and you'll be fine.

cats don't leap in terror out of my hands and I don't have to worry about breaking their backs ;__; It's kinda funny, the bunny is totally fine with my roomie, but less so with me.
