Printer purgatory: Redux!

Turns out printer purgatory wasn't over yet! We got the accessories in today. We were expecting one piece. We got 3 pallets worth of pieces. The biggest piece, the only one we were expecting, was about 220 lbs! (I'm guessing bc the box says do not put anything over 100 kg [220 lbs] or smaller than the pallet on top of it, so more than 100 kg would crush it?). Hopefully once its all together we can finally get training on it, I've been muddling through and figuring stuff out on my own :)

Last week I was figuring out how to use the back tray for specialty paper and it probably took about three hours, but I got it. I announced to my boss that I was learning! And she was like "AND you're teaching yourself". I'd never really thought about it that way! It got me thinking about how many of us are self-taught sewists and costumers. Yes we all learned how to do these things, but we TAUGHT OURSELVES. If that's not a testament to the power of our brains, I don't know what is.

Wow! That is a lot of printer accessories!

I am always amazed by how much we learn and teach ourselves in costuming. So few of us are actually formally trained in it. And there are SO MANY things to know.

Who knew that I would be watching a mini series about a printer? Hoping for your sake, it’s only one season.

Good on you for teaching yourself.
