Projects for the future (Sewing edition)

Picking up a project got me somewhat inspired to think about what's happening in my sewing room. I don't want to commit to anything as a "yes for sure", especially with no events on the horizon, and not to mention that the idea of that still kinda stresses me out. But there's still things I can plan for!

Shiny!
  • New Amalia jacket in the cream curtain colourway. This will also require remounting the skirt, but since I made that in 2014, I am OK with this choice
  • Rehang my under-petticoat
  • Black silk Italian gown mmmmm
  • Edwardian shirtwaist
  • Edwardian vest to go with the skirt already made (I think I have enough wool leftover to make them match)
  • Edwardian corset and padding
  • I am DETERMINED to make the Augusta stays work for me. I think I can use V.2 if I make the side front panels in just the right shape
  • Speaking of, new Regency stays
  • Chambray 1910s skirt
  • Modern stuff too, naturally. More pants! More shirts! Everything that fits!
  • Hemd (somewhere the pieces are cut out. I put them aside, so they are very safe atm)

To Sell
  • Get more things photographed and listed.
  • At least one remaining gothic lolita piece
  • Finish sewing the other GL pieces and list too
  • Medieval stuff (an undergown, an overgown, a "gates" gown)
  • Augusta stays V.1
  • I hate this category so much but I hate having things I'll never wear more

UFOs
Putting these down here because UFOs are boring. These are all things that are already in some stage of having been sewn and have been sitting for some time. Perhaps once a month or so, I'll pick something and that will be the project that gets finished now.

  • The sewing room itself. Let's get this bitch sealed and painted.
  • Red Regency gown
  • Black Regency gown
  • Green silk sack
  • Edwardian blousewaist
  • 1830's bodice remake (as best as I can, my original pattern is just... not right)
  • Sophie cosplay
  • Howl cosplay
  • 1950s pink skirt
  • 1970s blouse
  • I have a list in my sewing room, it's just not easily accessible atm. There's more on it that I will add here later

I need to branch out and make some 1930s Beach pajama pants that can be used for everyday.

Also, maybe some sort of fairy bifurcated mermaid fancy pants. Because if I’m working at home, no one is saying I can’t wear wings, right?

I love sewing lists! I also want to mske an Edwardian corset. I think that your thought about fitting tbe Augusta stats through the side front piece makes sense. Having seen the pattern pieces online somewhere, I think the pattern is a bit odd. Most historical stays I've seen have a larger side front piece 3-4 tabs, with a smaller side back piece, 2-3 tabs. I hope yours turn out well!

Nooooooo.... UFOs are not boring! (Especially yours, they sound wowza!) They are to be crushed, driven before you, so you can hear the lamentation of their... stitches? CRUSH THEM! Make them your bitches! (And thanks to you now I want to make a red regency gown just because it sounds gorgeous! Damn youuuuuu)

Tell me about it, the War coat has been lying around various surfaces for 3 years now, but it IS more of an artwork than a piece of clothing, and I want all the symbolism to be spot on.
