I keep asking who needs sleep, and the answer is me! I need it!
But good luck convincing my brain to STFU and actually do it!
Friday night I was anxious about the festival (bc hello, I am an anxious person) so I woke up at 1:15 am and slept again around 4, waking up at 7:30am. I needed to leave the house by 8:45 to make it in time for my 9:30 volunteer shift. That was an experience beyond most of the organizers' control (in addition to other challenges, the city set up a receiving centre for evacuees of the wildfires west of the city; it is not an exaggeration to say that the entire province is on fire right now). I booked myself for the full day without leaving any time to shop or eat, really; I could do one but not both. Especially since I stayed at my first post 15 mins extra. But I did manage to have a quick browse and bought a skein of Grogu-themed yarn, stopped in to say hi to a yarn dyer I did a class with (she gives good hugs!) and had a couple visits with people I knew who were visiting the site :3
Yesterday I was DEAD. I did manage to figure out the hem on a pair of pants I made last year and pressed it up (I think I didn't stitch it because I couldn't dedicate any brain power as to how to mark it, since I pressed to the finished length, but I thought of how this morning), but other than that the only thing I did was take a nap and knit. And I finished the project!! It's been a rock in my metaphorical shoe for months!! I bought the yarn in 2020 (literally around the time I was furloughed) for Local Yarn Store Day, cast it on a year and a half later, and it's finally done! WOOHOO!!! Still needs a soak and blocking of course, I finished it at like 10:30pm lol. But I always count the knitting being done as the project being done. I'm not 100% sure how I feel about it right now, since things change so much with blocking, but I did wrap it around my neck and it's so warm and squishy, it's going to get a lot of use in winter.
Last night I again couldn't sleep. Brain was cruisin' along on the high of a finished project. I dreamed some anxiety dreams (I was at a thing, I was driving around the countryside with low gas, I was visiting my gramma, I got suckered into playing D&D with my old group again...) I AM LE TIRED. Gonna be a coffee day and trying to keep myself awake. Currently not much happening at work, so I guess it's time for lists and planning.

I think I managed a wee nap over lunch, the music I was listening to changed so I guess so.
