I had dinner plans last night but they were going to be quite late, so when I got home I said NOW!! And pulled out Jenny the Janome, the only machine I have capable of a zigzag stitch, and sewed up the cut-down t-shirt into a sweet lil singlet. In fact I am wearing it right now! The t-shirt material doesn't stretch much so it's a little snugger than I was perhaps expecting, but that's ok actually. It feels nice, not too binding but also more like a hug. And now I have a piece I will definitely be wearing instead of a t-shirt athat sits in the drawer forever.

I cut my binding strips to the recommended elastic lengths in the pattern. When I have a chance, I will also make some with elastic, and perhaps adjustable straps. This is great, well-done me. Next up I will attempt a t-shirt rather than a singlet. The problem is that so many unisex tees put their designs so high up that it can be difficult to place a pattern with a lower neckline in an aesthetically pleasing way. I look forward to solving this puzzle.

Tonight i have a show that will run rather late (10pm-ish) so no sewing or anything. But tomorrow... Well I'll probably carry on with my usual lumping on the couch and just doing whatever strikes my fancy. I do need to do some chores, namely the cat box and vacuuming. I am an indifferent housekeeper at best, so the vacuuming hasn't been done in some weeks, but the kittens track their litter (wood chips) everywhere and Sophie is always tracking them further when she rolls on the floor and they stick to her bc she's very staticky lol.

Car gave me "battery discharge" warnings yesterday. It was really hard on starting and it's still the original 10-year old battery at this point. The new one is in my trunk, I just need to do it! Also I BANGED over some ice divots yesterday and now one of my new tires is flat >.>

Hmmm... how about adding a strip of fabric to the shoulders so the motifs are lower, and the shoulders could have that faux raglan sleeve feel?

I'm on a roll today! Even half-assembled one of the Christmas kimonos instead of sulking on the couch!

Reinvigorating t-shirts sounds great. I have some that were more men's rather than unisex sizing and because of the large sizing the image is too low. Like to fix would have to move the neckline so I just wear it all funky when I do.
