Sacque part 4
Mar. 19th, 2018 07:30 pmI both love and hate pinterest. Its great for creating boards and keeping track of inspirations. But its also really easy to lose track of attributions. The same cotton sacque was pinned multiple times, but usually from a blog post which is no longer on the internet. Thankfully, it was pretty easy to identify the source. I tried to pin it directly, but it was being a butt this am. Oh wrll.
So thw two extants i found without spending a lot of effort on the search were both from the met. Both were button fronts (with extensions, interestingly). One had gathered or ruched trim around the neck and bodice front. It had sleeve fluffle (just one). The gown skirt edges and petticoat hem had no decoration.
The other had a ruched cuff. The trim ran from the hem, up and over to the other side. A single, small ruffle was on tje petticoat.
So basically, i can do whatever i want trim-wise. Im at dance right now, so i can math out my petticoat, whatever trimmings i want, and just go to town tomorrow.
Also, Broadchurch season 3 updated on Netflix and i am SO excited to start that (even though everyone says tjat its a gut punch of a season. Cant wait.)
