Aug. 29th, 2019 04:01 amI've been giving Guido a hairball supplement to hopefully ease them out of his body better than foming out of his mouth, at the vet's rec, but he woke me up at 330am by bringing one up on my bed. Again. Sigh.
Last night I pulled out every bit of costume-related fabric I own. Holy shit, there is so much. Where do I put it all? How do I sort it? I piled it all by era and then put some of it back into the bin. There is still two enormous piles that I've left on the floor for lack of a better place to put them. I'm going to try to sell most of it but that means taking measurements and photographs. This is complicated, yo! I drafted up a few Etsy posts for things I had at least one photo for. I'm going to have to boot up my laptop to get it done.
After moving it all out of my room and spending a couple hours looking at it in the living room, I went back into my bedroom and was shocked at how empty it felt. My bed is against a wall that's been empty of any decorations since I moved in almost 6 years ago but I literally never noticed before last night. Then I noticed how much the furniture along the opposite wall is leaning. That wall has carpet up the edges for a few inches, and for some reason the underlay was possibly folded under? There's a definite hump at the perimeter. The furniture pieces never lay flush to the wall and I had propped them up with some inappropriate materials. It's time to move them. Its one of those layout quirks, I'd rather have my bed against that wall but that's where the shut-off valve for the radiant heating is and I'd really prefer that to be accessible. This room was really not built for a queen bed (This room wasnt meant to be here at all, the dividing wall is plywood). Gotta figure out where to put those pieces, I know I'll be happier to reclaim that bit of space.
Actually, if I get those bits moved, I'll have a nice blank wall to take some photos against...
