Sep. 8th, 2019 10:20 amOn Wednesday I'd had ENOUGH!!! of the coughing (actually had had enough by the time I posted my last entry, but wait times were 2+ hours at the walk in clinics), so I saw my doctor. He started with "post nasal drip" but when I started describing the other symptoms he had a listen to my lungs and said there was something in the left side and gave me antibiotics. The cough was still pretty bad yesterday, I haven't done too much today yet to see how it's going yet.
I haven't been able to take any photos of the costumes to put up yet. The weather has been pretty grey and cool, and I still need to find a good spot to take them. Plus all the measuring! And writing!
I had signed up to test-knit some socks so I finished those last night, and my hands are Done With Me, TYVM. I tried to knit on a sweater this morning and i dropped a cable stitch, a purl stitch, and tried to drop a couple more. No knitting for me today. It makes me feel so squirrelly, what do I do with my hands?? I have to fix the hook and eye in my riding habit before Saturday and see if I can't figure out a hat (oh man, I gotta do hair that morning!), but thats a: boring and b: still uses my hands, although differently.
So, I am taking some time to think about the Weekend Wardrobe. It needs a snazzy name. I def need to make some undergarments before starting on all the fancy stuff. A bustle pad, petticoats and corset cover at minimum. Chemises and drawers at some point. Maybe even a hoop skirt. I'm thinking about taking apart my wired bustle just because I made it from quilting cotton and its so heavy, but maybe the replacement version could be interchangeable with different backs.
