In amongst all the fun stuff with my apartment,
ktlovely and I were talking about travel plans for the year, and I'm happy to say that I will be joining her at GCV's 1812 weekend in June (obvs with caution to current health trends). I'm heckin' excited y'all. The first 8 reasons are time spent with Katie. 9: I get to meet Duncan! 10: I get to make a whole weekend wardrobe!
ACK I get to make a whole weekend wardrobe D: While I *THINK* I'll have my stuff back before June, I was considering making a new set of corded stays anyway, since my current pair are 4 years old now. I'll need at least one more shift. I have next to no daywear at all (that I haven't already sold or was planning to sell). How many accessories will I need, besides ALL OF THE APRONS? What kind of daywear do I need? Shortgowns? Petticoats? Will there be any need for a "best" dress and maybe a bit of frippery? What about headgear?
I wanna start planning this all now so I can make timelines. I do at least have access to my friend's stash, and I know I can throw a dress together by machine in about 10 hours including some hand-sewing. Whee!!
