Jan. 28th, 2022 08:41 am26th: no knitting. A large shipment arrived literally as we were all about to walk out the door, so I stayed a bit later and helped unload. The boxes were cumbersome in size though not weight, and with 5 carts and 6 boxes per cart x 2 loads each, we were done in half an hour. I got home and decided my brain was just tired and working on cables was not going to happen.
27th: (Yesterday) I made dinner as soon as I got home. Roommate M suggested tag-teaming it, and I intended to do that, but then it was just easy enough to do myself lol. It was cold enough too the drive was more or less solid, so I ran out to get my package, which had arrived on the 18th. I couldn't retrieve it bc it was 1: too cold/too warm (the weather is ridiculous), 2: I was in quarantine and even with a negative test I was following that, and 3: their hours didn't work with mine. They were open 9-5 daily, and I am out of the house 6:30-5. It was M's Christmas present! I ordered it November 19th, and it finally arrived in my city on January 18 lol. Happy that's off my mind! And she loved it, which is even better :D
After I got back, I started working on a hat I had begun earlier in the month. I was at the decrease section, and the pattern meant that they were slightly complicated. It's now in the "decrease FAST!!!" part and has gotten too small for the needle. Luckily, it is the same size as the sweater sleeve, so I can swap the circular for the DPNs and finish that up today. Then to block it, because right now it looks a little silly lol. It's an overall silly hat to start with, but worse when it's all scrunched up from knitting.
I placed an order for some gift cards. Hopefully those come today, so that I can go buy the Nintendo Switch and Animal Crossing they're intended for and then we can have household island parties.
