Feb. 1st, 2024 08:06 amWIP Sweater knitting is going very poorly. The yarn is not a merino superwash, it's a budget brand (that still cost $10 a skein, but hand-dyed merino is $35 so...) and therefore "sheepy(er)" and they are VERY INTERESTED. I don't even have to open the bag, they are trying to get their faces and therefore their teeth into it.
The city had a water pump fail at the main plant, so we've been on a "please limit water usage to essentials only!" ie: limit laundry, running dishwashers, maybe reconsider a bath; commercial places are on full advisories. They don't anticipate it to affect drinking water quality, but with the pump out, they can't meet the full demand of the city and surrounding areas. I've been struggling mentally bc I have dishes to do and my period started which means increased toilet use. And reminding myself: they're not talking about people like me. My water use is already low for XYZ reasons, I do not have to make myself even smaller. I am of course still trying to keep taps on etc for the minimum amount of time, but it's a bunch of mental gymnastics to get there.
So, nothing happening much. Kittens continue to be kitteny. I found Purple sparkleball on the weekend, but it has since been re-lost.
