more pakijs!
Apr. 12th, 2024 07:57 amBoth the fusible fleece and strap hooks were waiting at my door when I got home. Yay! Just one item left, but it hasn't shipped yet and wasn't expected to until later in the month anyway.
Fusible fleece is NOT what I expected. I realized mid-shipping that the piece I bought was 22"x36", and the pieces I needed to add it to were almost that large. $18 for one bag is a lot! I told a friend that it was like an oreo cookie -- if quilt batting is the depth of a cookie, the fusible fleece is the filling in a non-double stuffed one. It's VERY thin, not unlike polar fleece, but also *completely* unlike polar fleece. I cut it out but did not attach it just yet. I've been using a sleeve board as the main ironing surface, and I didn't feel like pulling out the big board.
ETA: fusible fleece is MUCH less expensive from Wawak, but as I was ordering from Amazon to save $$, I chose that. Once I have some wiggle room in the budget (ie: after the dang dental crown) I will order some stuff from them.
Made okonomiyaki for dinner (not an authentic recipe, but extremely close to ones I watched on YouTube from Japanese chefs) with bacon on the bottom and the mixture cooked on top. It was soooooo yummy. I need to get more mayo before I can eat the rest, it's really integral to the okonomiyaki experience IMO.
Woke up at 3am today, and didn't really get back to dozing until 5:30. My alarm goes off at 6 and I snooze it until 6:40 at the latest. There is NO BRAINS happening today, I guarantee it. Thankfully it is not a report day at work so I don't have to tax any of the braincells I have.
Sunday I have evening plans with M, but the rest of the weekend is mine. Next weekend is busy and the one after that is Expo! Plans include sleeping, tidying, and sewing.
