Laid gramma to rest on Monday. There were lots of tears but also some laughs, and we got to see the extended family again.

My arm got real sore after the vaccines and I was feeling run down on Saturday as I went out to deal with estate stuff. We sorted the remaining belongs and dispersed or otherwise made decisions about the pieces. I came home with very little, a couple bracelets of glass beads, some sewing items, an organizing tray, a small piece of furniture where my TV will go once I bring it inside. Sister claimed all the watches and watch parts before I got there.

Sunday, I dyed my hair in the AM. Met up with the sisters for lunch (annoyingly, we planned to meet at 1 and then they called at noon to say they were ready NOW. Well too bad, I was planning for 1! They already had one round of food/drinks before I arrived). At home, I washed dishes and scooped cat shit while printing the last logo I needed for neighbour's project. Then I sat down to cut and weed the pieces in prep for ironing before we went to the concert.

Concert was good, first band (The Warning) took the stage at 7, second band (Halestorm) took the stage around 8, and Evanescence didn't come on until like 9:45. Oi vey. It let out just after 11, and that, dear reader, is why I took Monday off. I am too old to be staying out until 11 on a school night!

Monday, my aunt said she would pick me up at 11, but then arrived at 10 just as I finished ironing the bibs. We took off to get the other people, and thank goodness we left early because we hadn't gotten far before her van decided it didn't want to work properly. We made it back to the city to disperse into other vehicles, and off we went again.

Y'all, I had one job, to bring a flower arrangement. I bought a vase. I have a basketful of fake flowers. On Saturday, I said I had bought a vase. Brain said flowers, check, and when arrived at the cemetary, I saw the headstone and the little spot for flowers, and realized I didn't bring flowers. OMG. ONE JOB! Luckily there was a grocery store nearby which had a pretty arrangement. After the service we took the flowers (roses and lilies) and dropped them in with her urn. After, we went back to the hall where the extended family sang grace and we all got to chatting. Headed home while it was still light out and I was home around 6pm.

I'm glad I was able to take yesterday off too. I kept thinking that I should do XYZ and then I would remind myself that resting is all I *needed* to do. It was a busy, emotional weekend and I really needed the downtime to not be around anyone or do anything. I did go to M & J's house for dancing but that's different.

Neighbour's project is complete and handed off, but he's already started planning the next one. I told him that I'm not a pro, I'm a home sewist with a cricut, if it's going to be a large number of things it might be easier to go through a company that specializes in personalization. "What do you mean you're not a professional, these look great!" he says. I didn't measure a dang thing lol, it was all eyeballed. But I won't work for peanuts or if I think it won't be fun. A handful would be fine, anything more is a hard pass.

It's getting dark and cold and with gramma's passing, I'm pretty sure it's going to be a rough winter. Just going to try to remember to breathe and to go for a stupid walk for my stupid mental health.
