T-minus 5 hours (ish)
Dec. 24th, 2025 07:45 amand then I am OUTTA HERE for four GLORIOUS days. Boss has been on a rampage this week (M: what is she mad about this time? Me: I have a list. Me: ...and that's just THIS WEEK. M: It's only Tuesday!) and her latest grouchy tantrum has been that my young coworker got ill with an hour left in her shift and asked to go home. And possibly because she didn't turn her out of office notification on, Boss had left the office when I returned to it and did not reappear before I went home.
Young coworker (she is 25) was still not feeling it later last night, so I get to spend my day in the quietest reception area you ever did see, with no one talking in my general vicinity or at me. AHHHHHHH so peaceful.
So, obviously I'm thinking about plans haha. Tomorrow I have dinner at my aunt's house and then the finale of Heated Rivalry dropping at 10pm. I will need to watch that and then spend several hours crashing out online. Friday I REFUSE to go to any shops, except MAYBE the pet store for cat litter. (And that's not even urgent, I can get that next week.) I think my main non-relaxing goals are going to be get the kitchen and bathroom cleaned up. Maybe vacuum if I feel particularly wild. Anything else is gravy. I have plans to take my sweater project (still only like 4 rows in) to my aunt's, maybe something less complicated if I don't want to think too much. Except for literally three hems I haven't touched the sewing machine in three months, so I'd like to get at least a little something done. Keeping myself fed of course. Napping. Oh, Sunday we will probably go see the puppies again, that will be nice.
Worked a bit on the journal last night. I committed to a series of pages meant to be an outlook on the year ahead, and then realized yesterday that I didn't leave myself enough room. So now I need to consider how I want to manage that. I have my current journal with me today which has a month's worth of blank pages bc I didn't want to split the year up between them, so I am using them as practice.
