I have been very lazy these past several days, and spent obscene amounts of time catching up on Doctor Who. I had left off after Gridlock in S3, and had seen a couple of episodes from S4, and everyone was asking me how I liked Matt Smith as the Doctor. Well, I plowed through it all, skipped a second viewing of Blink, and have just finished moments ago.

And I really, really, really like Matt Smith as the Doctor.

Thinkgeek has a t-shirt that declares "you never forget your first Doctor", and this is soooo true. My first Doctor was Tom Baker back in the 80s, and he was fabulous. I adored Christopher Eccleston for the short time he was on, and I did really like David Tennant too. But my new favourite (next to Tom, naturally) is absolutely Matt Smith. He is fabulous. I love him. I can't wait for S6 to start.

But I do kinda wish I could have Donna back :( I loved her so much.

We totally have the same tatse in doctor who haha. I adore Matt Smith to the point he might even be my fav doctor. I of course really enjoyed the 9th when he was on. Who could not adore the 10th too, but I'm not as attached as some fans are. So I totally embrassed and adore the 11th! Have you seen the christmas special yet? It's my fav one so far! As for companions Donna is my favorite one too! I love their friendship and how she'll make little comments like he's a sliver haha. I almost or did cry when she got her memory wiped! =( Was happy to see she finally got happily married though!

But the new season yay! I believe it's going, 6 episodes in april or the spring. Summer break when Torchwood is back. Then another 6 eps in the fall. Then less of a break till the christmas ep too!

Haha, been doing a Dr Who catch-up as well. Not nearly as far as you, but at least now I understand your FB status about cybermen vs Daleks. =p

LOL XD My dilemma goes back to watching the 4th Doctor as a kid, but it still comes back to haunt me. The creators evidently find that Daleks get better reactions cuz they don't show up at all for almost three full seasons :O

That is, Cybermen don't show up for almost three full seasons, whereas Daleks keep coming back. Duuuurrrrr.

Matt Smith is in danger of becoming my favourite too :O (I suspect I just need to rewatch some of 4 to remember why Tom Baker is best, but Matt Smith is very, very, VERY welcome on my TV) I watched the Christmas Special pretty much right after I posted the entry lol. It was so cute! I totally did cry when Donna lost her memories, but I was half-expecting her to stop existing entirely and I don't think I could've continued for a few days if that had happened :O

I can't wait for new stuff :3 The downside of catching up to almost three full seasons is that my brain is STUFFED to bursting with Who-ness and there's nothing left to be had right now. Sorry, brain, you just have to wait.
