Still tired

BC why sleep? Sleeping is a thing that does not happen in this house. (I was tired enough to try and nap on my lunch break, to no avail, and when I did go to bed at 1030-ish, I slept for about an hour and woke up. UGH.)

Finished sewing the gathering on the hemd. I decided to throw it over my head and see how it "fit" without the gussets or anything in place. And... I think it's still gonna be a bit tight in the armscye, just from the way the fabric lays around the body. More annoyingly, the sleeves will be too short. GRRRR.

I started to stitch some smocking with doubled black silk thread but... it's definitely an early attempt lol.

Why sleep, why?! Ha - it's one of those things that the more you think about it, the less it happens.

Sorry about the armscyes and sleeve length. That's frustrating.

Hopefully the gusset helps! My new shift has a similar cut and a similar problem with the armscye. I hope yours turns out alright! Can you add an extension to the sleeve? If you're smocking it, it wouldn't be noticeable.
