Looooong weekend!

totchipandaFinished my emotional support chicken last night. Photo on Instagram, she is so stinkin' cute!!! Definitely going to make more (and buy the pattern when I can afford to), it's easy, fun, and adorable.
Have not tried to figure out the mistake I made with the cross stitch, that is a weekend-me project.
Last night, while the kittens were exploring the hallway (as they are wont to do when I arrive at home; they race out before I can even hope to stop them, I just prop the door and let them), I opened one of the hall closets which I intend to be "costume storage". It is also where the vacuum lives, so I pulled that out in anticipation of doing such this weekend. The bin that is in there is all costume pieces I want to sell. I also pulled down the box of accessories and put the silk mitts where they belong. Amazingly, the linen mitts still fit, if just a liiiiittle too snug particularly at the forearm. I don't think I will need them for the faire, but it's good to know! I'd forgotten about the giant hood in there, that was a fun rediscovery.
Should be all caught up on dishes soon. Thankfully I wasn't cooking much to start with since it was so hot.
I think the only thing I want to commit to for the weekend is getting Poplina finished, and making the mock-up of the Bernhardt stays. I can manage that over 2.75 days, right? XD I am bringing my April socks home too, I just finished the gusset decreases today and the rest of the foot shouldn't take too long. Yes, it is early August and I am now three months behind on my monthly socks, but I am not concerned. If I don't make 12 pairs, it's fine! I have already made more socks this year than I did last year, go me!
