totchipandaFinished the Elsie blouse last night, even though it did take me a bit longer to get started than I anticipated. I ended up under a kitten, realized I hadn't really been available for snuggles for two nights in a row (dancing on Tuesday, crafting on Wednesday) so ok fine, it was OK to be stuck under a kitten for a bit. Eventually I did have to make dinner (I ate it right out of the pan, like a slob, bc the dishes I would have put it in were all dirty. Whatever.) and then they wouldn't really settle with me again so I made myself get up and sew. And iron, that's where I left off the night before. Just buttons and some finishing work now. I know I don't need to tell you, but it's so cute.
Tonight I have vaccine appointments, which I purposely booked at the pharmacy near Walmart so I could also go to Walmart. I booked them for a Friday so that I could spend the weekend in misery if i needed to. While also forgetting what all is happening this weekend. Oops? I guess I could rebook but... meh.
Now that Elsie is done, I will finish my trousers and move on to the next thing, which will be stays/corset. I'm debating a Redthreaded pattern since they're on sale this weekend (and a portion donated to hurricane relief efforts), it's just choosing the style that always hangs me up.
I was poking around at mid-teens knitting patterns the other day bc I think one would compliment my outfit very nicely. I tried to put one of my modern ones on with the skirt and Poplina, but the poplin dragged on the acrylic and ugh! Nope, not happening. I found a cute 1917 pullover, and last night started pricing out yarn. A couple local stores have a 50/50 blend (or near enough; either 52-40-8 or 50-40-10 acrylic/wool/nylon) that i have knit with before and liked, and its not too expensive. But neither store had all of the yarn I would need, so I've put it to the back of my mind for now. Like I have opportunity to knit anyway lol.
