This working life is so not it. It's a struggle getting back into the swing of it and I was only gone a week. How do teachers do it after a whole summer? Mad respect.

Week continued to be HOT and GROSS and really wasn't fit for anything besides sitting down and not moving much. I did some cross stitching and a little knitting ("I'll totally finish my swatch before the KAL so it can be blocked," I said; well HA!! I barely started). On Sunday I started by pulling some fabrics that I wanted to use, and then got a bug up my butt about an autumn wardrobe, so I made a moodboard with the patterns I had in mind. Then I finished up my resume to send to my friend, and was feeling generally accomplished. Later in the day, when it wasn't so hot, I started cutting out a skirt pattern, with plenty of help from Calcifer (she was SO halpful that I couldn't finish cutting out until EVEN LATER.

Yesterday was a bit of a wash. I slept late and took a nap and just generally was very low energy. I made a pot of decaf coffee bc it was already noon when I got up. Little bit of sewing on the skirt during the afternoon, then finished up the majority of it in the evening, to the point where I could try it on. I just need to do some trimming of a seam, finish the waistband and hem it and it's done. Totally a one-day make if I have the time/energy/less halp.

IDK what else to say, really. I have plans and projects and absolutely nothing going on otherwise. What happened to summer? Why is it September already? Why have we lost 4 hours of daylight already??
