I "discovered" today that a substantial scene in my novel needs to be re-written, nearly from scratch. Roughly 6000 words are going to get scrapped and redone. Le cry!!

But please answer this question for me if you can :3

If you were the person who shoved a sword through somebody you loved and they died in your arms, how would you react?

Hum. Well, then I guess I'd spend a LOT of time and energy justifying it to myself to aleviate guilt and pain. Was it accidental ?

It was a case of, he was possessed by a wicked mean demon, and if she didn't lift the sword and shove it through him, he was going to devour her. So, somewhat on purpose, but with very little choice on whether or not she wanted to keep on living.

Being that i couldn't possibly take my own life, I would hate everything OR something in particular.

to explain it's either be like the emo "i hate everything and everyone." or i'd pick something of someone particular to blame. Afterall if i "loved" them something might of cause me to kill them... even if they were sick and i killed them so they wouldn't suffer i'd blame the disease. Even if it was, I'd be in denile. lol

Horror, regret, and depression. Hopefully my shoving a sword through them was because it was the only way to save the world or the only way to save that person. Do what is duty, and cry about it after it is done.

in this case, the person was possessed by a demon and if she didn't shove the sword through him, he was going to devour her soul ^^; this is probably closest to what i'm thinking of...
