argle blargle.

so, after staying up until 1am, worrying about my cats and their bums, Dad and I had planned to get up and out of the house around 8:10 or so to go pick up Shelley and get to Kingsway for some last-minute shopping. I woke up just before 6 and it was one of those mornings where I lay there and within ten minutes, knew that I would be awake until about 10 minutes before I needed to get up. It was definitely after 7 when I finally slept, and then it was to have a bad dream about the day's shopping trip as it was. Dad came in and woke me up around 8:10; we got underway closer to 8:30, and arrived at the mall about 20 minutes before the stores opened, so we went and had breakfast.

Overall shopping trip was good... picked up a few items that I needed. Dad bought me the Making Faces book by Kevyn Aucoin. I must repay him in January, the book is MARVELOUS and I can't wait to try some of them out. Then he dropped me off at the train station, so I could head north and catch up with Mum & family for Harry Potter. 'cause ya know, I only saw it twice ;)

pretty quiet evening over all. I made Saki a strawberry printed shirt that looks utterly adorable on him 'cause he needs something to wear since his suit, which was originally supposed to be here in time for Christmas, will unlikely arrive before I leave for Banff next week. I need to find him jewelry and throw together some winter gear for him, but most of monday will be spent cleaning house because Nicole & co. will be arriving on Tuesday and staying with me until I leave. Backing up thte shirt, I need to get my machine serviced, it's being a right royal pain. It was kinda stressful, but the end result was cute and made it worth it.
