Apr. 26th, 2009 04:44 pmI have spent the last three hours curled up in bed with my laptop, reading up on 18th century corsetry and bra-making. *is satisfied*
There's talk of a pirate party on Talk Like a Pirate day, so we thought we should dress up like pirate wenches this time :D So I need proper undergarments, even though 1770s is a bit late for the pirate age, I will be pleased since I love the dresses from that era anyway. (and I probably won't be very wenchy, but I ought to fit into a period-esque drama, if all goes well)
Looked up bra-making from a discussion a couple months ago, found a site in Canada that has lots of neat fabrics, patterns, and ideas. I would love to go out there for their classes, but a lot of the dates are inconvenient for me to fly out to Ontario. I fit into rack sizes, but the prospect of having a cute bra that fits BOTH of my boobs is certainly appealing.
I have new Arrogant Worms music and Coke and my head stuffed full of research. Ahhhhh :)
