I borrowed a really neat book from a friend about making custom drafted stays and corsets. I'm really excited to try it out!! It looks similar to patterns that use apportioning scales, but most of the math is done for you already, and there's pictures of every step. I can hardly decide which pair to start first. Probably stays, but 1775 diderot stays, or 10 years later ones?

Fun weekend, except for 15 minutes in the middle of it where I witnessed a vehicle collision. That part was super not fun. No one was seriously injured (I don't think) but still. Yikes! Tomorrow I am off to chauffeur my gramma around :-)

Chauffeur duties completed! I got in the car around 10:25am and I didn't get out of it until 9:45. OI that is a lot of driving. (OK, there was an hour-long break while she was in her appointment, and then a couple of bathroom breaks, and half an hour to gas up and eat. I spent maybe 2 hours outside of the vehicle.) Loooong day, lots of traffic, and we JUST missed a collision :O The RCMP closed the road off behind us. We still ended up turning around and taking a different route. Yikes!

I had also texted my dad that there was a collision and it wasn't us! He still texted me 3 hours later when he heard about it on the news, worried it was me. (But of course I was driving still, and I don't text and drive, especially after almost 12 hours on the road!)

I have no brains. My fabrics are polyester. I want to make stays. The end. Good night!
