Jul. 1st, 2018 10:35 pmProjects are truckin' along. The redingote got most of its collar today. Ive been forcing myself to stop around 10pm so that i don't stay up too late past bedtime. Being tired dduring the day doesn't help at all (see yesterday where ibwent back to bed and slept until 11am D: )
I made a mockup of the late 1830s bodice eith small bust adjustment that i made a couple weeks ago. I didnt try it on with any proper undergarments but i think it will work. I still need to make the sleeve up to see how it will work but the fabric i grabbed today was torn into 24" lengths (its from my mom's stash 4 years ago. She probably had ripped them to make gathered dresses/skirts for my sisters when they were little. My youngest sibling just turned 27) and the length i needed was 29". Gotta do that soon so i know it will a: work b: fit, and c: enact plan b if it doesn't.
So many tiny projects left to make. Thats the other reason ive been stopping early, need to save my fingers! I wonder if i should try making friends with my rolled hem foot again, or itty bitty rolled serger hems... /has the lazy (which means i need to just do it. Cheating with the serger at least will not make the projects happen any faster, i know that lol)
