Emerging from the Fold

I liiiiive. I regret nothing about my decision to take Friday off as well, because after watching season 2 in one go (with potty breaks), I needed to fully immerse myself in all of the articles and fan-made things and watch it a second time. And then a third (though that was the speed run, skipping to the best parts). I liked it a lot. The author approved of the season with the statement of "it's fanfiction", and I thought they did a really good job blending three different books together. Book purists are of course furious that they took one book that came much later and mashed it into the season but... it worked. And it ended in a way that was really satisfying just in case we don't get any more. I'm really hoping we do though.
House/cat-sitting has been going well. Cat is very suspicious of me still, even hissed a couple times as soon as I walked in the door, and then tried to climb my legs because I wasn't feeding him fast enough lol. I was back and forth all weekend but last night I had a feeling I wouldn't be sleeping much, so I went to her place so I wouldn't have to wake up early to feed him before work. And I didn't sleep pretty much at all, I'm exhausted today.
Started the smocking embroidery. I don't really know what I'm doing, but it seems to be working.
Saturday was blood donation day, and it was so fast. I was in and out of the chair within half an hour. When I got home, I had 5 hours to read the last 4 hours of my audiobook, so I let it play while I worked on the puzzle. Made some connections and filled in some areas, yay!
