Yet more wardrobe thoughts
May. 12th, 2023 08:06 amYou're sick of it by now, aren't you ;) Well too bad!! Weather is heating up again to mid-70s to mid-80s starting today (and even worse, theres still wildfires burning ridiculously all over the province, and this is not helping and I still need summer clothes.
But! Good news. I was lamenting the lack of summer weights in my wardrobe and a friend offered for me to come shop her stash. She lives on my bus route, so yesterday we made plans and I went by. She had pulled some options for me, and then let me dig through some bins and fished out some pieces from the closet. Then we had tea and chatted before I headed home.
I came home with a HUGE bag of mostly blues and greens, some dotted voile and a couple ginghams, some stripes, a sweater knit, navy rayon and a sheer navy with floral print (that she said was "too pink" for her; the pinks are indeed very bright for her usual palette) that I've already decided what to make first.
She's hosting her birthday party tomorrow so aside from those few hours, I plan to spend my whole weekend inside. Today is the perfect time to start planning what else I want to do.
In other news, I will be going to visit the kittens today. They have been super enjoying sleeping on Dad. He sent me a couple photos with the accompanying message, "I'm trapped under kittens. Don't send help." I offered to write him a nice eulogy.
