As it happens every week, it hits Thursday and I start REALLY looking forward to the weekend. To whit:

Apartment hunting is going to ramp up. I will be giving notice to the homeowner in the next four days (!!!) In turn, I also need to start ramping up my packing and cleaning efforts.

But that's not the whole weekend. I can sew the top I cut out. I can start listing the pieces I measured. I can start.... uh it's been 90 minutes since I started typing and I'm not sure I knew what I was going to say then but it's definitely gone now. Anyway, I can do some sewing.

Speaking of sewing, my friend has given me a heads up that we're going ahead with an event in the fall, and I have been wanting to do a menswear look for years. So is this the time I do it?? Do I spend the next three-ish months rushing through a tailored look? Or do I spend that time making myself new undies for womenswear because my old pieces are definitely too small now, plus I have a better understanding of my fit requirements?

I was thinking... I need to destash a bunch of fabric. There's some I'm going to keep without question, like all of the wools and silks and linens. Things that have been earmarked for various projects. And then I want to go through my bins and really evaluate what I have. People joke about "they who pass with the largest stash wins" but let me tell you, it's not funny when you have to go through someone's estate and they have massive stashes of everything. It's painful for everyone.

I bought Joy-Cons yesterday to use with my switch lite, but they didn't come with anything resembling an external power source because they're meant to be connected with a regular switch. So now I need to get a charging dock or something.

It's been a month since I knit anything, and I super miss it. I've taken to watching knitting videos to scratch that urge. My wrist and hand is so much better, I'm going to start doing a few minutes a day to build strength back up. (update another 3 hours later) I knit 4 rows on my mitts for fall, and one of those rows was done 3x as I tried to figure out where I dropped a stitch between rows 2 & 3 lol.
