Sparkleball and other Sagas
Sep. 26th, 2023 08:08 amGreen sparkleball showed up and purple was not sacrificed for its appearance, so we are back to two!
The kittens were WILD last night. I'm pretty sure Sophie hit mach 4 as she rocketed out of the living room. There is a reel on my Instagram (same name) of them wrestling on my bed.
I took a shower last night and left the curtain closed to dry out. Opened it this morning and a large black dot moved in the bottom of the tub. Didn't have my glasses on but I didn't need them to know this was a little friend. Sorry little buddy! Then Calcifer jumped in the tub, immediately investigated, and ate it. Er, extra sorry little buddy.
Going to the former roomies tonight to watch Dancing with the Stars. I'm so excited for the opportunity to knit without help. The community league literally next door is having a "bring your own craft" night this week, I am considering going.
But before I left today, I really wanted to scoop the box. I'm trying to switch to okocat, a wood-based litter rather than clay. For the first change, it's approx half and half. The kittens haven't really seemed to notice or care yet. I got the regular stuff which is a larger grind, not as fine as clay (though they do carry a finer grind for sensitive feets) and it does take a bit of shaking to get through the scoop. It didn't smell like anything other than wood (a fond smell for me, hanging out in my grampa's workshop as a kid while he sawed wood) and I was not blasted away by ammonia or dust. So far it's a win.
