New Injuries
Oct. 20th, 2023 08:45 amAs I currently do not own nail clippers for the kittens, they are VERY SHARP!!! Yesterday I was playing with Calcifer's feet and she tolerated it for a short time before grabbing my hand, where her claw hooked in and caught into my finger. Later that evening, Sophie did a very impressive leap straight into the air and down onto my foot, leaving three long gouges in the side of my big toe. Yowch!
Nothing has been happening, creatively. I started knitting the last section of separate halves of the shawl, but I keep forgetting to do the increases so I ended up multiple times with not enough stitches. How!!! I'm only 187 rows in, you'd think I'd remember it by now.
Flu shot tonight, and Covid booster if they have it. Date specifically chosen to allow the vaccine to do its work and kick my ass all weekend as it seems to have affected everyone I know! While I have projects in mind for sewing, I am prepared to be only knitting, reading or napping. After I get jabbed, I will go get some errands done, namely cat food as the bag is nearly empty. And nail clippers. Oi.
Saw my doc on Tuesday, and I was prepared for a fight to get a rec for gluten intolerance testing, but he was like "yeah sure no problem!" and printed it out. He then said that if nothing shows up, it doesn't mean that it's not happening, I know my body best and by all means if I want to cut that out of my diet, go ahead. I have not made a concentrated effort to remove it yet, at least until I get the blood drawn.
