Oct. 30th, 2023 09:38 amSparkleball Saga: Yellow was found beneath the couch! And it was promptly lost, I haven't seen it since. Green made a random appearance after being MIA for a couple weeks, and has also disappeared again. Purple remains hidden, and Red was about this morning as I used it to distract Calcifer from my boot laces.
Poor Sophie got into the tub yesterday while I was shampooing my hair, and I turned the water on to rinse my hands, which were sudsy and pink, to remove her. Unfortunately, it scared her and she panicked and tried to run out, but she couldn't get any traction on the tub surface and the curtain was blocking her view. Hands rinsed, I picked her up and got her out thankfully without injury to either of us. She came back a handful of minutes later but was careful not to get into the tub again.
On Saturday, M and I went to see Little Shop of Horrors at a local small theatre, and I freakin' loved it. Audrey II was voiced by a lady-shaped person who, as i said not more than hour after the end of the show, "not to be a lesbian about it but oh my god". The whole cast was amazing. And because we bought our tickets on special, we were sat in the second row. We never sit so close, we could see everyone's faces and hear their voices without benefit of a microphone and speakers. Omg it was so so so so good. I'm considering going again.
on Friday evening I was feeling restless, so I moved some totes around and into the storage closet. Then I pulled out the fabric and pattern I was intending for a petticoat and laid it on the table. My table is far too short, and the kittens were FASCINATED but this new toy (fabric hanging onto the floor). I want to get them used to the crafting that happens around me so I didn't really discourage them. Plus, it was close to 10pm so I didn't spend a whole lot of effort on it.
NaNoWriMo starts late tomorrow evening. I'm pretty much set on writing fanfic. I plan to work on a few stories at the same time and knock out some hard plotting decisions (since the goal is "get it written"). First in-person event since 2019 is on Saturday! And most excitingly, the LRT that stops right outside my new place and goes to the event location opens on Saturday as well. I'm thrilled.
