First full weekend of the year: done!

I was very uninspired, and that was OK. My hands and forearm were itchy all dang weekend, the kind of itchy that is not relieved by scratching. The spots in were in places I also get stress-itchies from, but those usually stop when I stop scratching, which was not the case. Possibly because I was working on a crochet project that was a victim of the flood? Am I allergic to the alpaca-blend yarn? Or perhaps because I am allergic to my kittens (sobbing). More likely all three. I plan to get some cortisone cream before I go home to help, if it continues.

WIP project progress: I was working on a large Grogu doll, of which I started in 2019 before, i believe, he even had a name. I left off with a giant blob of a head, eyeballs, and a body which was ready to be split for legs but because I didn't read the pattern correctly, the eyes dictated where the legs needed to go and I didn't know how I was going to do that. Well, it is done. He has legs, feet, one arm, and proper eyes. Left is one arm, both ears, attaching the three, nose and mouth, and the robe. Crocheting was HARD, I needed many breaks because my hands were cramping up. Been awhile since I did a project!

New WIP: Doctor Who scarf in acrylic yarn, BBC colours and half-size pattern. Goal is to get it done and sell it. It too is a victim of the flood, so I will see if my hands react the same way.

Finished 1 book of 24 for the year. Second book is on hold with the library, audiobook still in progress and not sure if I'm going to make it before the loan expires. But it's ok! The ebook was on sale for like $3 a few weeks ago so I bought it!

I started working on the petticoat again. I need to add elastic to the waist but I apparently do not have any of the correct size or length, so it'll wait until I get to the store. So I hemmed the dust ruffle and skirt, and then gathered the ruffle and attached it to the skirt. I tried to follow some period-appropriate directions, which were rather confusing and I needed to play with some fabric to wrap my head around it. I think I got it, and stitched it in and it does look really nice!
