Stays pt 3

Got the mirror out and tried it on again. As expected, the lacing was in a /\ formation, with just enough bust support to make me feel like nothing was going to fall out, exactly, but hoo boy it was not a sure thing at all. AFTER I made and ate dinner (winning!), I took in a couple seams at the bust line where I could and tried it on again. Much better this time! Still /\ laced but less dramatically, and I could loosen it up a bit to avoid the "squished UP" look.

I think some of the fit could be attributed to the lacing strips, which are steel boned. I should have a closer fit with bendier plastic. They are cross-laced and I was using a bit of upholstery rope which was not long enough so had laced it very sparsely. I guess now I need to decide if I want to finish the back properly and fit that too or just forge ahead.

So far I am finding this MUCH easier to fit and make than Augusta. Make of that what you will.
