Mar. 18th, 2024 09:13 amIDK if the weekend was relaxing per se... We had a great time at dinner and cookies. Saturday i was SO DANG TIRED the entire day. Eyes have changed a little since last time, she showed me the difference between my current prescription and the new one and its a definite improvement. The glasses I have now are from 2017 so I did good! I went home straight after and lumped around, took a nap later and just kinda vibed for the day. Actually slept on Saturday night! Spent a few hours trapped under the kittens before heading to my friend's house, where we picked up and folded a bunch of fabric that she'd been too busy/tired/sick to do before, plus a stack of random things that was a combo of her business stock, donated fabric, and just STUFF. I did come home with a bag full of fabric lol.
Crocheted the rest of the cat pouch for one of the rainbow barf scarves I worked on in January, and started a second one. I couldn't FULLY finish it because I didn't want to dig for any of the remaining yarn I need but it's currently fine.
Saturday night I had a late night snack of some pie that was left in my fridge, and it wasn't particularly hard or anything, but as I took my plate back to the kitchen I could feel something stuck to my tooth. Went to the bathroom to check and whoops JK -- the tooth broke and a big chunk is missing. Damnit. The one edge/corner is very sharp and was poking me in the cheek. Now I have to do some unplanned dental work, and I don't know if it's gonna be a root canal or an extraction. I felt NOTHING, no pain, no roughness not even the broken bits. Annoying. It might be the tooth I've already had a root canal on but I'm not sure. Crowning them is SO EXPENSIVE, and my benefits only cover half. No way I can afford the cost of it outright. That's on my to-do list today, book an appointment or two.
Painted my nails last week and they're doing good, bright and not very chipped. Yesterday I was able to pull up chunks that had separated from the nail and they were looking really janky but I don't have any remover. I am covering the public-facing role today and tomorrow and i didn't want this busted up polish to be seen. It's impossible to match it, but I slapped some polish into the bare spots and top coated it anyway. And this morning I forgot I'd even done that! It's smooth enough that it doesn't catch my eye so I can live with it lol. I even went to the dollar store on Friday and could not remember what I wanted there -- it was remover! Note to self: do that soon lol.
I have a couple days over Easter where I will be out of the house. I plan to take the projects with me that I can't do around the kittens.
Goals this week: finish my dishes for really reals, I'm so close!! Pick a sewing project and do the dang thing. Wash my hair.
