Sophie, no!
Mar. 20th, 2024 10:20 amSophie broke another mug yesterday :( I'd taken it to work for the day and left it in my lunch bag on the floor, thinking SURELY it would be kitten-proof. No gravity to help!
Sophie: hold my beer.
I think she was trying to get into the bag and got caught in a handle because I found it in the bathroom, 10+ feet from where I left it. Only the handle of the mug is broken with a small divot taken out of the upper mug. I can glue it back together but it will never be as trustworthy to use the handle.
It was a mug that my German fandom friend had sent me, custom printed with a throwaway joke I'd made in our discord chat ;___; I have learned that NOTHING is kitten proof. No mugs left anywhere they can potentially be even sniffed at. Alas.
Second crochet cat is approaching "done". Really must find whatever pink yarn I have so I can fully complete them. Have done very little else in the past two days. I was covering the reception desk while my coworker was away and it was a nice change of pace, but it didn't leave me much brain power. I procrastinated on things by writing out my sewing list and uploading a bunch of patterns to google, which meant loading up a laptop I haven't turned on 7+ months and waiting almost half an hour for it to think about it's life.
