CHATZILLA TUTORIAL

First, you have to install ChatZilla. Once installed, it will appear in your Tools menu, like so:



Click on it, and this window will appear:



Alright! We're getting ready for business... At the bottom is a little button with a name on it. You'll want to change it something unique to you. I recommend using your Nano forum username.


Enter whatever name you want and OK it. Now we're ready to go about getting onto IRC.


Chatzilla seems to have no easy way to set this up, and you have to either type out the address or go through the menu every time. Boo! Anyway, when you're done typing, press enter. You should see this screen:


Next you want to join the channel, like so:


Great success! High five!



Now, my ChatZilla is set up to automatically join the channel so I don't have to type it out every time. To do so, go into your preferences:


Add a new network.




Select your new network...


... and click on Lists


Under Auto-perform, add a new command...


Press OK and apply the settings. Now every time you join Goodchatting, you will automatically join #edmontonwrimos!
