Sep. 20th, 2008 09:19 pmI've got some freakin' agressive malware on the desktop, so I installed Avast (which went way better than the last time) and it's running a bootscan now. It's gonna take a loooong time. I threatened to switch back to Linux, the only thing really stopping me from using the disc that came with the laptop 2 years ago being that I have no farking idea how to install any programs on that particular OS (I had like, two successful installs, everything else didn't work). Chloe recommended Ubuntu, and it appears to be a little more user-friendly than the KDE build I have/had.
So I'm downloading Ubuntu on Himechan. Good thing no one's up/home for most of tonight, its a huge download but I probably won't get to try it out until tomorrow since I need to burn it to a disc first, and I don't have any blank CDs.
Effin' wonderful. I'm a little worried about what'll happen to my itunes downloads since itunes isn't supported by Linux, if I decide to ditch XP, but the thought of never having to worry about viruses EVER AGAIN is pretty tempting.
