totchipandaOn Saturday, I took the stray cat to the pound.
It was really windy, and it was starting to snow a teensy bit, which was broken up by bands of sunshine. WTF, Alberta? WTF? In the wind, a tree fell on someone's car and the passenger died while he and his wife were on their way to their granddaughter's birthday party :(
Saturday night was the nano party! It was a lot of fun :) We got sorted into Houses, ala Harry Potter (they even have Harry Potter-esque names, thanks to Chloe); I got sorted into Questryn, along with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
harpergrey, which is headed by the fantabulous Denton! After some socializing, some speeches, and a really neat slideshow of pictures from years past, we got into our Houses and did some activities, including writing our House history/song. Ours was to the tune/idea of Discovery Channel's "Boom-de-yada" commercials. Tara, Aerina and Casey showed up just before the singing of the houses songs/mottos. Casey's in my house! We got home around 12:30, and it was still freaking windy.
Sunday, I went to Galaxyland with my sister and her friend :) We first had to go for Vietnamese soup, and then shopping to walk off some of the soup, so when we'd planned on being there for 2 hours tops, we spent 1hour and 24 minutes eating or shopping XD I got home around 5:30, entirely funned out from the Mindbender.
And today... we're counting down to nano! My roomies are plotting away downstairs, I'm in the chat room, and its been a reasonably fun evening. 4 days until the insanity starts!
