I'm watching Game of Thrones, largely because Sean Bean is portraying one of my favourite characters from the one book I managed to get through. But the program before it hadn't quite finished yet, so I got treated to three or four minutes of watching dead animals get pulled out of the Exxon Valdez oil spill, with piles and piles and PILES of them in bags, and then the show opens with my least favourite part of the books (and one reason I stopped reading, since I normally read late at night) with wights (zombies with glowing blue eys, fricken wonderful), and then some super-graphic scenes involving someone being beheaded.

Deadwood should have taught me that HBO doesn't skimp on the details, but I'd rather take gratuitous sex and swearing over dismembered corpses, wights, and piles of dead animals in garbage bags any day D:
