Just about to go to bed, and I find out that Slave Lake has been on fire for the last few hours, and the entire town of 7000 is being evacuated and it seems like there isn't much hope that any of it will be standing by morning. It's been SUPER DUPER MEGA FREAKING WINDY for the last four days (usually these winds kick up for roughly 36 hours and are gone at nightfall on the second day) and wind gusts of 100km/hr + dry conditions + grass/wildfires = DISASTER.

And here I thought my biggest concern was surviving the trip home walking into the wind. ;____;
