I had a super-cool dream the other night about one of my OTPs from a fandom I'm barely involved in anymore, and it totally inspired me to finish the epic fanfic I started writing during NaNo2006. The trouble is, I can't find the file that has 35k written in it. I can't even find the first four chapter files that are already posted, just chapter 5. I also can't find a USB stick that I know I saw recently that MIGHT have the file on it (but just as likely won't). Icon related XD

ETA: Yahoo!! I saved the files after all!

My costume for Sakuracon is going to be one of the most quickly-cobbled-together costumes I've ever done, I'm afraid :( I'm too broke to renew my Fabricland membership just now to get fabric. Thankfully it's not a super-hard costume. I just need to decide what to wear on the other days, though I'm already planning on a loli dress for Sunday since if I can't find a moment to change, it won't be totally awkward in an airport.

M&M UPDATE:

So I cannot for the life of me find big bags of the mint ones, which baffles me because they're usually everywhere this time of year. BUT. My local Fred Meyer has the little single-serving bags year-round now, apparently. So you may find yourself getting a shitload of those.

But I want you to bring me Smarties. XD

I seriously have no idea why I can't find big bags of mint M&Ms; they're almost always out around Easter. This is literally the first year I remember where I CAN'T find them. I wish I'd known you wanted them around Christmas, I totally would have gotten a few bags and stashed them. XD At least I found the little ones.

There's still hope, it's a month away yet :D But I will love all the small bags anyway, I will love anything (and anyone who trades me) mint M&M's related. I was not joking when I said I would fight people to the death for them.

Small bags will happen for sure, now that I know where to access them year-round. (Things I cannot fathom: why you can get the SMALL bags year-round but not the LARGE bags.)

Oh no, I can get chocolate Smarties any time I want :D What are Smarties there are called Rockets here and you can only get Rockets at Halloween. It's probably a good thing, you eat like four rolls of them and you're good for a month. Hence my stash from a couple years ago (it was a really big bag of Rockets D: )

Though we did have a stash of Halloween-sized Smartie boxes for awhile. By the time we were done eating them, we A: didn't want to eat a Smartie for several weeks after, and B: had 2 stacks 12 feet tall.

I want the chocolate Smarties -- I can get our version any time I want but I can't get the chocolate ones and the chocolate ones are sooooooo goooooooooood. SO good. They're what M&Ms wish they were.

Also that is a lot of US-version Smarties.

Yeah, the chocolate ones are waaaaay better than candy discs :3 One of my friends is from NJ and she swears that American and Canadian m&ms are different; I tried plain ones last time I was down, didn't like them. Mint ones are the only ones for me! I will happily be your smarties dealer anytime you need a fix ;)

You are effing amazing. I get SMARTIES. This makes me so happy, holy shit. You have no idea.

Canadian chocolate in general is better than American chocolate. I think it's regulated tighter, so there are higher standards on what gets called 'chocolate'. Great for you, mournful for me because I can't get it here!

OH. Before I forget. You and whoever you're rooming with. Do you guys mind if we 'borrow' your hotel room in the mornings? I am NOT driving up in costume. It's not happening. In return I'll bring my fabric steamer with me. :3

I'm getting mint m&ms too XD I'm not sure which of us is getting the better deal, really ;) I definitely prefer chocolate bars up here; American ones seem to have a funny taste in them, probably cuz, as you said, stricter regulations up here as to what can be put in it o.o

I'm staying with Erin and Heather (and tegan, and brandy on Thursday?) so unless something happened I didn't hear about, they probably won't mind?
