totchipandaI can't believe I didn't post more about U-KISS than I did. I did recover most of my free time from Youtube, and no one wants to hear any of their music (except Dzi and Jude. I was telling her about "the boy under the stairs" and showed her the part of the video that inspired it, so Jude grabbed our hands and started dancing and waving them back and forth XD Kid's got good taste in Kpop), but I can post about all the things on LJ, so... I have no idea what I'm trying to say XD
So I guess a preference for one member of a K-pop group is called a bias? I really didn't delve too far into fandom, it's bloody scary most of the time. The title for it was new to me, but the fangirling part wasn't XD I could still name all my favourite band members from Back In The Day (tm) when I listened to J-rock exclusively. But it was so HARD to pick just one of the seven! Soohyun had the best voice (and is aforementioned "boy under the stairs") and I loved hs voice best from both Believe and Tick-Tack (Japanese version). But Kiseop was the prettiest. Eli is my favourite rapper. Kevin is just ridiculously adorable. Dongho is possibly MORE ridiculously adorable, with extra benefit from being the "baby" (maknae). All of them were just redonk adorable in all these vareity shows I lost hours of my life to in January and February on Youtube. How could I pick just one?!
It took two months, but I did it. It's official. Soohyun is my bias. He was the boy under the stairs, something about him under the stairs just captured my fancy, his voice is magical, and then the videos... He's so serious in promo pics and PVs, but as soon as it's not "official", he turns into a charismatic and silly boy, and I was sold. It just took awhile to sort it all out from all the other feels I was experiencing at the time.
(Dzi's bias is Dongho. I had to show her one of the early early early vids, before Kiseop joined, when Kibum and Soohyun pretended, along with their manager, that something was Seriously Wrong and they hid behind a car and literally rolled on the ground laughing as quietly as they could while the other members worried and shifted around. When they came back out and revealed it as a joke, Dongho cried. It was so cute and funny and wrong.)
