Some random thoughts.

totchipandaMy layout has gotten very aggressive with their ad space. I think. I see at least four "don't like ads? Get a paid account and never see ads again!" on my main page without even having to scroll. Joke's on you, LJ. I have a blocker AND I'm too poor for paid! HA!
I decided that I really want to get my curtain-along dress off my sewing pile, even though I have zero plans to wear it anywhere any time soon. I forgot how to backstitch efficiently for approximately 5 minutes before I figured it out again. I knew it was wrong, but took me a few to parse out HOW. All I have left is sleeves, sleeve attachment, strap attachment, trimming and rehemming the petticoat (now that I have fantastically awesome shoes to wear with it). I'm rewatching Supernatural S1 (gah so YOUNG) while I sew and this won't be an issue tonight, but do I put the trimming on the sleeves before or after I attach them to the dress? I know what I want to do, and I suspect it'll be a little bit easier if I do it before.
My car finally told me her name. The conversation went like this:
Me: Car doesn't have a name yet, but she's definitely a girl.
Friend: You should name her Susan.
Me: (thinking of all the unpleasant Susans I know) What? No way.
Two days later:
Me: (realizes that Death's granddaughter's name is Susan and they are hands-down two of my favourite characters OF ALL TIME) Well crap, her name IS Susan.
