Costume plans
Aug. 7th, 2015 11:49 pmI feel like I have THE MOST GIGANTIC-EST LIST of to-do costumes ever!
Not including the things I already have on the go, I want to make:
Already on the go:
Where am I supposed to find time for all of this?! (Deep breaths. Logically I know it'll happen when it happens, but it seems like soooooooooooooooooo muuuuuuuuuuuuuch)
Not including the things I already have on the go, I want to make:
- a series of bonnets from The Workwoman's Guide (one is already started)
- an 1840s chemisette
- at least one new Regency era gown, probably something white
- a Regency open-robe
- green linen spencer/pelisse
- several sets of stays (Regency ones that don't dig into my arms, transitional 1790s ones, maybe half-boned stays, or the ones from Costume Close-up?)
- a recreation of a gown from Cut of Women's Clothes (I have some plans in place, I'm waffling on fabric choices)
- MOAR PETTICOATS
- One can never have too many chemises. Debating how badly I want to make one for Edwardian use, and if I should just skip straight to combos
- An Edwardian "corset cover" that I have Interesting Plans for (I've started drafting the pattern...)
- An Edwardian gown, cuz now that I will have undergarments, I'll need a dress to wear with it right??
- Upcoming challenge projects... some of which haven't been decided yet
- ALL OF THE THINGS, basically
- some day a new Jedi outfit
- Star Trek uniform
- Babylon 5 uniform
- I show my love for things with costumes, but I can't think of anything from Farscape that would work.
- Really start to work on trimming things
- Aprons?
- Reticules
- Accessories in general...
- seriously, more petticoats
- Some modern things. A cape would be just perfect for fall.
- Knitting all the things too! I really wanna attempt socks, and I'm definitely sourcing yarn for a pineapple...
- A robe a la Francaise
Already on the go:
- One bonnet out of three
- A King's Landing dress (needed for WorldCon, so that's getting worked on ASAP and is already cut out)
- Every other damn project sitting around half-finished...
Where am I supposed to find time for all of this?! (Deep breaths. Logically I know it'll happen when it happens, but it seems like soooooooooooooooooo muuuuuuuuuuuuuch)
