totchipandaMy bedroom window is leaking from above, and dripping onto the sill close to my head. I put some containers down to catch it, but I had the wrong order in yesterday. The drips hit the raised bottom of the one last night, making a loud THONK that kept me awake for a bit, and hten woke me up a couple hours later. I slept on the couch. I have a flat-bottomed container in there now, and am brainstorming ways to minimize the sound (I have a small crochet half-circle that would probably catch enough of the drips to soften them?)
tomorrow I have an early day and a long shift. Gonna be fun.
I had a brilliant flash of inspiration on how to finish my orange taffeta ballgown that I started last year, but now I'm not so sure. The idea would put the front panel on a drawstring across the front of the body, and I think that would be not-so-great with such a crisp fabric, and yet I don't want to lose the versatility of the gown by making it narrower. Needs to be pondered a bit more. I don't need it until October. Or maybe I should finish it and just sell it?
I had plans to "do nothing" this long weekend, but it's shaping up to be a busy one. The dripping window needs to be looked at, but I have to move my bed away from the wall, which requires rearranging most of my bedroom and probably storing nearly everything in it in my living room, and then getting someone with some arm strength to help me move the ridiculously heavy frame. Ugh. Gotta brainstorm ways to deal with that too! (by "do nothing" i meant things like "sew a dress, make some fabric decisions, vacuum, that sort of thing, now it will be "picnic, visit sisters/gramma, organize ALL THE THINGS...)
Summer promenade in approx/ 7 weeks. I think I shall wear the pink linen dress that I have not yet worn, and then make a light little chemisette to make it outdoor-worthy. And it can also be my July HSM entry mwahah!
