pheromomania for a more detailed report ;D It's public. Didn't say much about the morning doll meet though O_O oh well, it was cool I'm sorry I missed the later one, I really wanted to oogle an El. At least I got to oogle an F-16 and a Ren. Yay :D
I'd wanted to re-do Mia's faceup since before Sakuracon but I did not have the time. I had a really awful time at work today and was so annoyed by shit when I got home that I wound up tossing half the contents of my bag across the floor, only barely setting Mia down more gently before she wound up in the massacre. So I decided that I'd try to remove her head somehow and re-do her face.
I pulled off mia's foot, and panicked a little bit when a small piece of resin seemed to go flying off. But the built-in hook is intact yet, so I don't think it was serious... I wonder if should suede her joints while I have her in pieces? Anyway, off came her foot. I used a chopstick to hold the elastic out, but it wasn't enough to get the headcap off... So on went a piece of ribbon!

which was ironically red....
Wow, I thought, her head isn't much looser, but this leg sure moves well..... Until I pulled it off. The foot's ball-top went flying into the bookshelf. Oops.

That loosened things up enough to get the headcap loose. Or rather, I was pulling her head up, with the left side giving more than the right, when the elastic slipped off the S-hook. Whoops. Aforementioned chopstick went into the strings underneath her head. Other elastic came off the hook and off with her head!
I call this one "Got head?"

Poor Mia. She didn't like being pulled and yanked around and I'm not really looking forward to putting her back together cause the elastic is so tight...
But less than half an hour later, she was all clean and ready to be re-painted :D

I put her eyes back in so she wouldn't feel too bad ;D
ok, so I suck at photostories :P
