I had to take a painkiller at 4:30 am cuz my tooth was pounding, but that was the last one I've needed so far! And my ear situation has greatly improved so without an official diagnosis, I think my assumption was correct. I ran off to my dentist this morning to get holes drilled in the tooth, and my dentist was SO EXCITED cuz I have five roots on that tooth, and he'd never seen one outside of a dental journal. It took a bit longer because of the extra root, but I didn't get to finish watching Moana before he was all done and I got to go home. I offered to go back and my coworkers were like "nah we got this". So I'm home with a cat on my legs and laundry in the dryer and my freezing is almost worn off. Thank goodness, it was really difficult to eat and drink with no control over half of my face. He said it will be sore for a bit, there was quite a bit of infection and he had to dig around a bit, but I feel ready to take it. Cuz now it's fixed and I have the stuff I need to make it not-hurt.

In the new year I plan to get the other dental work I need done so I don't have to have these panicked treatments again. it is not fun!

And I still have to work at my other job tonight, but that's ok too. I can get my shoes back! And tomorrow, Star Wars!

And I am feeling so much better than I was even yesterday. I came back this morning to little presents from some of my coworkers. The admins got me a little something, another couple brought down a cute card and homemade cupcakes (that I forgot on the desk!! GRRRR), and my brainhalf sent her fiance down with a tin of treats I missed out on on Sunday. I'm a little scared the other shoe will drop but right now I feel really at home there.

I'm so glad you're on the road to recovery! So funny about your dentist's reaction, too.

So glad to hear that you've gotten the tooth taken care of! An that you've moved passed the heavy pain killers. I always get so nervous about taking them.

And 5 roots? That's a thing?
